What the Heck is a GWARDYAK?
Gwardyak is the name of our founder's high school music teacher. Mr Gwardyak, affectionately known to his students as Mr. G (probably because it was easier to pronounce), inspired a small group of impressionable kids to achieve excellence in music and performance while still having fun. Mr G. taught music literacy, music theory, music history, theater, stage, private instrument lessons and most of all, he taught character. He had a boyish personality that made you love to deliver for him every concert. He taught discipline and the value of practicing your craft. He was a friend to his students but yet still a leader. So with that spirit, the name Gwardyak remains synonymous with training, dedication and enthusiasm for developing one's talent to its highest potential...We believe that there is a Gwardyak in all of us and we want to help you uncover the Gwardyak in you.
